PLAIN-LANGUAGE DATA NOTE

Your searches leave a small paper trail.

Here is what DA-Validator sends, stores, and keeps on your device when you investigate a topic.

When you search

Your topic is sent to public search services run by Hacker News Algolia, GitHub, and Stack Exchange so DA-Validator can find relevant public discussions. Those services receive the search request under their own policies.

What DA-Validator saves

To build and improve a research report, the app saves the topic, source links and titles, public post excerpts and available author identifiers, evidence summaries, and report results in its Supabase database. There are no DA-Validator user accounts.

If you add a research link yourself, DA-Validator does not fetch the page. It saves the URL, title, and excerpt you submit with that research run.

Cache and retention

Successful complete reports may be cached for up to six hours; partial reports for up to ten minutes. Cache expiry does not remove the separate saved research records, evidence snapshots, or aggregate niche-request counts. Those records do not currently have an automatic deletion schedule. For a removal request, email hello@aevronyx.com and include the topic or source link.

If you request an email watch, DA-Validator stores your email, selected niche, confirmation and unsubscribe state, and alert history. A confirmation link must be used before alerts begin. Unsubscribe links in every email stop further alerts; removal requests can also be sent to the address above. Unsubscribe tokens are stored encrypted, and their lookup hashes are stored separately.

Your device and abuse prevention

Your saved watchlist stays in local storage in your browser. For rate limiting, the server creates a keyed hash of the client IP address and keeps short-lived request counters; the app does not store the raw IP in its rate-limit table. Hosting and database providers may process operational logs under their own policies.
